Helical extension springs are usually cylindrical bodies with small holes or hooks at both ends. The body of extension springs is mainly subject to torsional stress.
Widelead applies cold coils to produce extension springs made of spring wire and stainless steel for static, quasi-static and dynamic loads.

The body of the tension spring and the hole or hook type depend on its function and the available mounting controls.
